Released on Spectrum (48k
& 128k), Amstrad, C64, Amiga, Atari
Spellbound Dizzy was released in 1991.
There were in fact two different version of
Spellbound Dizzy released for the C64. The first "Spellbound Dizzy" was
the one bundled with the "Dizzy's Excellent Adventures" multipack. This version
contained around only 25 or so screens. This was a completely different game to the
version released on the Amstrad and on all of the other systems (see above). It
appeared that Codemasters had made a different version for the C64, but apparently, when
Spellbound Dizzy was released on budget for the C64, it was also the bigger version of the
game.
The bigger version didn't contain any of the same rooms as the "Lite" version
but has about 100 or so rooms and was claimed to be arguably the biggest Dizzy released.
